COURSE AIM To provide participants with knowledge and confidence to assist in their survival in the event of an emergency offshore with the proper use of available emergency equipment
METHODE SEA SURVIVAL BASIC TRAINING:
This course conducted in two phases. Initial phase is a half-day theory course covering all aspects of the life raft and survival at sea. Classroom training utilizes demonstration. LESSON PLAN:
a. Launch and inflate a life raft b. Storage and Preparation of emergency gear. c. Donning of emergency gear. d. Boarding techniques. e. Right and board a life raft unassisted f. In open water survival techniques. g. Grouping positions. h. Life raft management techniques i. Life raft emergency equipment and usage Basic injury management, Assisting injured personnel

Participants are required to pass an assessment of practical skills and written or verbal examination of theory.
